About composites:

Composites are materials representing a combination of at least two or more different ingredients. By connecting chemically these elements create a new material with properties, completely different from those of the starting materials.

 

Cast marble

Cast marble is a composite material with basic components natural marble dust - up to 80%, and polyester resin- 20%. The coverage of the products is a transparent acid-resistant gel-coat, extremely stable by treatment with aggressive chemical agents /except abrasives/, and therefore especially easy for cleaning due to its nonporous surface, which does not retain spottings.

 

Granixit

Granixit is a composite material similar to cast marble - a mixture of marble powder and polyester resin. In the coating from transparent sanitary gel-coat is added a specific material - artificial high-tech filler. This additional material is a combination of granules with high hardness and different sizes, variety of colors and strong resistance to UV rays. This special suplement gives a specific granite vision of the product and provides a higher resistance to physical and mechanical influences.

 

Fatgranit

FATGRANIT is a new, higher class compoisite material for kitchen sinks, expanding the product portfolio of the company. The FATGRANIT sinks are made of 80% natural quartz, which is the hardest component of the granite, and 20% resin, pigments and additives, providing the linkage of the granite particles. The combination of resistance and easy maintenance makes FATGRANIT the perfect material for kitchen sinks, combining functionality, aesthetics and durability.

Antibacterial protection on the surface

The effect of silver ions:

The technology is based on the addition of silver ions to the surface of the product during the manufacturing process. Once applied, they provide permanently antibacterial protection.

 

How it works:

Silver ions are binding with the microorganisms, formed on the surface of the sink. As a result, a disruption occurs by the life functions of the bacteria cells and this prevents their growth and reproduction.

 

The advantages of the silver ions technology:

The most important benefit of antimicrobial additives is that besides the provided protection, they do not change the characteristics of the products in which they are integrated.

This antibacterial protection:

  • does not affect the appearance of the treated surface;
  • does not affect the aesthetics of the products;
  • cannot be washed out from the treated surfaces;
  • the antibacterial effect remains for the whole live of the product;

Features of the FAT kitchen sinks

  • Specific structure of the material that reduces the noise from the water falling in the bowl;
  • High level of UV – resistance – the colors remain bright even by using the sink outdoor ;
  • Specific structure of the surface coating with high resistance of aggressive chemicals /except abrasives/. The smooth and non-porous coating prevents the formation of stains and overlays and provides a quick and easy cleaning;
  • Perfectly straight lines of the mounting surfaces;
  • A deep bowl on all models;
  • Pre-drilled holes for mixing battery or soap dispencer;
  • A big variety of modells and colors;
  • A high-level antibacterial protection due to the adding of silver ions to the material during the production.
  • High scratch - and impact resistance by FATGRANIT material;
  • Complectation with an /3 ½” siphon with overflow and a paper template for a presize cutting the montage hole on the countertop.

Cast Marble / Granixit Sinks

  • Some utensils have rough bottoms or sharp edges - use appropriate protective pad to keep the sink in a good condition;
  • Dropping of heavy or sharp objects in the sink may cause damages on the surface;
  • Do not place hot utensils with temperatures above 150 C° directly on the sink - risk of damage for the coating;
  • Do not use abrasives or sharp tools for cleaning the sink. The specific surface of the FAT sinks disables accumulation of spots or contaminations;
  • Daily clean out the sink using a household sponge and detergent, then rinse out with warm water;
  • Wipe dry the surface with a soft cloth or kitchen rolls – this prevents the formation of limestone overlays and stains;
  • Wih particularly resistant stains, treat the problem area with a sponge and detergent on chemical basis /e.g. for removal of lime scale, do not use abrasive cleaners/ and leave it work for a few minutes. Later on rinse out with warm water and wipe the sirface dry.

Maintaining a granite sink is easy if it’s regularly cleaned

For a better and faster effect use a detergent that acts against two major causer for spots - lime scale incrustation and organic overlays. A detergent of that sort has a gel consistency and contains sodium hypochlorite – such as “Domestos”.

The longer the stains stay on the sink, that harder it would be to get rid of them.

Here are some other advises from us for removing other pollutions, stains, colorizations or traces of metal objects.

  • To get rid of stains and/or lime scale incrustation, spread the detergent evenly with the abrasive part of the cleaning sponge over the dry part of the sink, rub it and let it sit for about 10 minutes. After that rinse with water and dry it out;
  • For more stubborn stains -repeat and let the detergent sit for about 15-20 minutes;
  • For getting rid of traces, caused by metal objects over the sink surface, use an abrasive cleaning detergent with a creamlike consistency. Dry out the surface of the sink, spread the detergent and let it sit for about 15 minutes. With the abrasive part of the cleaning sponge thoroughly rub the surface. Rinse with water and dry out;
Attention! While cleaning do not use aggressive chemicals that contain caustic soda, formic acid and others similar to that kind. Also do not use highly corrosive detergents – there is a risk of damaging the sink surface - decolorization or bleaching.
